San Diego-based JHG is a collection of interactive marketing groups that empower client companies in sports and entertainment, technology, lifestyle, and wellness to take full advantage of the new media to engage audiences and drive results. JHG combines traditional communications with new technologies, such as interactive, mobile, digital public relations and other Web-based services, to create breakthrough marketing programs.
When our company came together in July 2007 under the name JHG-Townsend, it combined the resources and expertise of two established agencies: Jayne Hancock Group, a young and fast-growing marketing group focused on media, sports, and technology, and Townsend Inc., the leading technology PR agency in San Diego. In February 2008, we took a new name — JHG — reflecting the further evolution of our company and the creation of three integrated marketing groups:
